Volume mixer Windows

In Windows Vista and Windows 7 the volume mixer received a serious upgrade. In previous versions of the operating system the volume control was lacking functionality.

The coolest feature of the new volume mixer is that you can set the volume for each running application.

That makes it easy for you to filter out the apps that bug you like Yahoo Messenger’s Buzz/Audibles or Errors and Info sounds from Windows.

You can select the volume for each app by selecting Mixer after clicking on the Volume icon like in the picture below.
