To format a certain partition in Windows, or to change its file system (from FAT32 in NTFS), you will need to follow the next steps. You won’t need any additional applications.
- Open My computer
- Right click on the partition you wish to format and click on Format (see the image below).
- Now choose the file system (1 on the image below) and click on Start (2 on the image below).
Attention: Once you click Start, all the files on that partition will be deleted.
The C partition cannot be formatted through this method because on it runs your operating system, including all applications.
