Send to menu

Send to menu

Windows
The Send To menu offers the possibility of sending certain files and applications to different location, like memory cards, flash memory, or to the desktop, much faster than the normal copy and paste method. This option can be found on the contextual menu of all folders and files (when you right-click on a file you will get this menu – see the image below).

You can use the Send to menu to send files by email, quicker than normal with any email clients.

All you need to do is enter the email address of your client and press Send.

To add, for example, Send to Microsoft Word we will need to place a shortcut to Word in a special folder in Windows. Through this method you can place a shortcut to any place or program and those items will appear in the Sent to menu.

So, click on Start and:

Windows XP

  1. Click on RUN
  2. Type sendto in the field and then press Enter

Windows Vista and 7

  1. Type in the Start menu search field the following: %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo and then press Enter.

Now all you need to do is place a shortcut of the desired program or destination in the folder. It doesn’t matter what operating system you are using.
