Windows registry are actually date bases where all the options and settings of your Windows programs, all the custom user settings, information and parameters for your computer’s hardware are save. Microsoft thought to implement registry for the first time on Windows 3.1 because of the lack of efficiency of the .

ini files.

To manually edit Windows registry, click on Start, then click on Run (or just press the Windows key+R) and type regedit.exe. The press Enter.
