Hand position on computer keyboard

My Computer

Typing fast is more and more important nowadays.

Instructions:

  1. If you haven’t yet learned how to use a keyboard properly, then you should know where to position your hands. The fingers from the left hand need to be aligned on the letters asdf and the fingers from the right hand on the letters jkl.
From this position you can reach the other keys much faster and much easier.
  2. Those who look at the keys when they type will find the position mentioned above a little odd as some of the keys will be hidden by their hands. For a more fluid typing it’s best to not look at the keys unless it’s a rarely used symbol.
  3. Practice without looking at the keyboard. It’s the best way to learn. Typing just to learn can be boring, but you can do something more pleasant. Use those chat applications or if you’re a gamer talk within the a game chat.
  4. Try to type as correctly as possible, without changing the speed. Once you get the idea, the words will just flow. Also try to use punctuation. You will learn how to type faster not only on chat rooms, but for your office work.

Attention:

  • If you’re using a text editor for your typing, then it’s easier and faster to let that program auto-correct the words that you misspell.
  • Practice without looking at the keyboard. The best way to do this is to practice in a dark room where you can’t see anything but the screen.
