Downloading unknown files to your computer, can be very harmful. Avoid downloading files from sites that are not trustworthy, because they may have viruses.

Instructions

1. Follow the link that will get you to the needed file.
2. Click on the download link (it can be a link with the name of the file or a Download button).
3. Choose the language and your operating system (in case it’s mentioned).
4. Choose a mirror (a site from where to download the file) as closest geographically as possible (if you are given the choice). Now a new window will appear on the screen that will ask you if you want to open or save the file on your hard disk.
5. Choose to save the file if you want to use the file more than once. Otherwise choose to  open the file.
6. If you have selected to save the file, then choose a location on your hard disk. Now you will be able to see the remaining time for the download.

Attention

• most browsers will allow you multiple download instances.
• downloading multiple files will slow the download speed for each of them, because the total speed is divided to each of the files.
• you can continue browsing while the download finishes.
• most files are archived (.zip or .rar files). You will need a special program to un-archive them.
